Otsego residents may dispose of yard waste free of charge at the Albertville Compost Site and Wright County Recycling Center.

Albertville Compost Site

Located off of Maciver Avenue approximately 1/2 mile north of CSAH 137/60th Street (between 63rd and 65th Street)

Attention: The Compost Site is closed for the season and will reopen in April 2026 with Expanded Hours!

Used Motor Oil, Oil Filters, Etc.

Many service stations, repair facilities and quick lubes will accept used oil and used oil filters. The best way of locating a nearby collection center is to visit the Earth 911 website. This website allows you to search for collection centers by ZIP code. It also has information on recycling other items like batteries, electronics, and aluminum.
